I am doing my usual things in the evening when i hear a knock at the door. It’s my friend, i tell her to come in, and she does. Later I asked her how she knew my address-I haven’t told many people that- and she doesn’t answer. I ask her what her favorite song artist was, thinking back to when she told me. She said a different one. A sense of suspicion rose in me. I asked her what my favorite song artist was, knowing i hadn’t told her that either. She got it right. I pulled up my phone and texted her, i asked “where are you right now?” And she replied “on the couch watching TV with my cousins” and this reply came back without the thing sitting across the room from me even looking at her phone. I get another text “why?” She had asked again, the thing across the room didn’t look at the phone. I sent her a picture of the thing across the room. She replied “WHAT?!?” The thing across the couch realized what i was doing and attacked me. A dodged, ran to the back yard, and found the throwing knife my mother had found buried in the ground. I grabbed it, went back inside, and got a kitchen knife. I threw the knife into the things leg, and green ooze came out. I used the kitchen knife to kill her, and investigate.
Dreams can often be complex and layered, reflecting our thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Here’s a breakdown of potential meanings behind various elements of your dream:
Friend's Arrival: Your friend represents a familiar aspect of your life or a part of yourself. The surprise of her knowing your address may indicate feelings of vulnerability or the idea that people know you more than you realize.
Suspicion and Mistrust: The sense of suspicion when you ask her favorite artist could suggest underlying feelings of doubt regarding trust in your relationships. This could stem from past experiences or current situations in your waking life.
The Other Presence: The unknown "thing" across the room symbolizes a fear or anxiety that is perhaps lurking in your subconscious. It might represent something threatening in your life—be it a relationship, personal issue, or an unresolved conflict.
Attack and Defense: The confrontation with the "thing" signifies a struggle against something you perceive as a threat. Your instinct to fight back with both the throwing knife and kitchen knife indicates your desire for control over a situation that feels uncontrollable.
The Green Ooze: The green ooze could signify something toxic, perhaps an emotion or aspect of a situation that you need to address. It might symbolize a problem that has been hidden and is now coming to the surface.
Killing the Thing: This could represent a powerful assertion of self-defense, the need to confront and eradicate a source of fear, anxiety, or mistrust. It may also reflect a desire to eliminate confusion or doubts in your life.
Investigation: The act of investigating afterward suggests an introspective desire to understand and learn from what has happened, revealing an inherent curiosity about your emotions or the situation that caused distress.
Overall, this dream may express an ongoing battle with trust, hidden fears, or anxiety in your life. It conveys a struggle for clarity and control in the face of uncertainty, as well as the desire to confront and overcome challenges you're currently facing. Consider any present relationships or situations where you might be feeling vulnerable or mistrustful, as these could be influencing the dream's content.
